VTG  Albobaca Porcelain Ceramic Covered Cake Plate Portugal Ribbons  Bow 2 PC

Offering this lovely vintage ceramic covered cake plate from Albobaca.  Made in Portugal, this covered cake plate features an ivory  fluted serving plate that is 12 1/2 inches in diameter.  There is a 6 1/2 inch tall ivory ceramic dome with an intricate pale red ceramic bow and ribbons trimmed in pale green.  The dome height for cake storage is 4 inches tall.  Both pieces have a high gloss glaze.  This set looks like an elegantly wrapped gift for display on your holiday table. The ribbon adornments are rather muted in color so it would not be relegated for only Christmas use and could be used for birthdays or other festive events throughout the year.  There are no chips, cracks, stains, or utensil markings present. There are two small areas about the size of apple seeds on the cake plate that appear darkened.  This appears to be from production since there is no defect noted above or below each area.  This set continues to beautifully.  It appears to have seen little use and gentle care and I consider it to be in excellent condition.
