  • Condition: Hard to find 1952 "Carol " outfit in excellent condition. No tag. Hook and eye closure shows no rust. This is the original Carol dress from 1952, not the newer version Vogue put out later in the early 2000's. The original belt buckles in front and attaches to the dress through a small loop you can see in the photos. The newer version does not have this tiny elastic loop to hold the belt! Matching bloomers have good elastic, and the tie-on cape/collar has no stains or problems.

    Description

    1952 un-tagged Strung Ginny "Carol" original outfit.  Green and white plaid dimity dress with lace trim at the neck and arm holes, it closes in back with the original hook and eye closure with no rust. It comes with matching green plaid dimity bloomers with excellent elastic and a darling tie-on waffle-weave collar/cape trimmed in the same lace as the dress.  There are no stains, tears or problems to the outfit.  Something to note is that this is the original Carol outfit from 1952, NOT the one Vogue reissued in the early 2000's!  You can tell this is the original version because of the tiny elastic loop that holds the original belt in place in front.  The newer version skipped this little detail!  You can adjust the belt to cover the little loop, but I wanted it to show in the photos so you could tell this is the
    original dress from 1952
    .  The belt is also the original one that has always been on this dress and has a working buckle that shows a bit of age dullness, but it still works perfectly!
    Interestingly, this dress came in this green version, a blue version and a maroon version.  I own all three colors as I just love this outfit!  This is a duplicate of my green one, so I thought I would let someone enjoy it.  It is most often seen on a Caracul or poodle-wig Ginny.
