Description
1953 Vogue Strung Ginny with evenly blushed "fevered" cheeks with no scuffs, very dark blue eyes that appear almost black, can be manually closed, but prefer to stay in the open position. There are no scratches to her eyelids. She retains her original carrot red wig styled in a thick, curly flip style in excellent, clean condition with thick bangs. Her eyelashes are almost invisible, and her brows are gray in color. Ginny is appropriately marked "Vogue Doll" on her back, and "Vogue" on her neck and is a strung doll, not a walker, can stand on her own, hold all poses, and has no seam splits, cracks, stains or odors. Her body is evenly-toned and all parts match in color. She has all her fingers and toes.
Ginny is dressed in a 1953 #26 "Carol" outfit in pink from the Kindergarten Afternoon Series. The dress, a tagged "
Original Vogue Dolls Inc.
" pink dotted Swiss pinafore dress with butterfly sleeves and a white band at the hem with the alphabet in blue letters and accented with a blue bow at the center waist. It is clean and the dress closes in back with the original hook and eye closure with no rust. There are no stains, rips, fading at all. The pink organdy bloomers have excellent elastic. She wears her original pink socks and excellent-condition pink oilcloth shoes with Greek key snaps (one snap has been reinforced) with fuzzy bottoms. I have added a new pink satin bow to her glorious hair. This is a beautiful, early Ginny in fine condition in a much-sought-after dress.
