VOGUE 1950 Strung 8" Hard Plastic Painted Eye Ginny, Sport Series "Ski" Sweet w/Skis & Poles
Complete with Excellent or Better ~ Vintage Condition, Well Kept, Previously Owned

We are offering an adorable early hard plastic 8" strung Vogue Ginny doll from the 1950's Sport Series of dolls Vogue issued during that time, named "Ski".  She is a painted eye that has the soft early color, visible lashes and brows, light peachy color lips, light soft color skin tone, typical of this era doll.  She is marked on her back Vogue Doll, restrung by previously owner (not us) and poses fine.  She has no cracks, no breaks and no repairs other than the restringing.  She retains her wonderful clean factory mohair wig (not a replacement) that still has the nice flip style; typical stray hairs that may show on her face which is picked up the camera lens; no marks and no stains, etc.
Ginny Ski wears her adorable cotton poplin 3 piece untagged outfit, guaranteed factory Vogue.  Many of these early outfits were found not to be tagged.  Outfit is clean, not faded and has never been washed, never ironed, no repairs.  The fur trim on her hat is wonderful and still nice and full.  There is an elastic in the jacket/coat around the waist and not sure how tight it should be; from ones we have had before it seems fine but consider that it may have relaxed a little, nothing most would even notice if it has but want to mention in case.  Elastic in legs and waist of ski pants is wonderful.  She came to us with no skis, no shoes.  We found a very nice pair of green oil cloth original center snap shoes for her that has strong snap attachments and overall very nice.  She now has skis and the poles as we found a set in our small stash that we keep for special dolls like her in need.  The adorable mittens are still attached to the tie's on the hat too, they are felt mock style, not full mittens.  Hopefully you can see them in our photos.
Early doll that is referenced in the newest reference book on Ginny entitled "The Colorful World of Ginny" by Barbara Clark, available on Ebay.  You can see a picture in the 2nd Ed. on page 31 of a color variation too from the one we are offering.
An adorable doll that is ready to travel and even hit the slopes but would be happy to travel to a new home and await the season.  Very cute doll ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.  Please take a look at all the photos and see if she is one you would like to enjoy and share with others or perhaps a special gift for a loved one.  All our dolls without boxes will travel in a nice silver tone gift box packaged with care and then in a shipper box.
