In this auction we are offering a a darling early 1951/52 strung Vogue Ginny doll Ice Skater who is from the Sport Series of dolls.  She is a very pretty  brunette (original factory wig, factory applied) with blue eyes that do need assistance to open and close, common and acceptable to the majority of collectors.  Her hair is nice and full and has not been restyled and still retains most of the original set with a few stray hairs that one would expect of a doll this age and is common even for even the most mint in box vintage doll, when not redone.  Her coloring is all factory, guaranteed.  Nice visible lashes and brows with factory pink rosy cheek coloring; no rubs, no scrapes, no redo's.  Ginny is hard plastic 8" doll strung doll, marked on her back Vogue Doll and has been restrung; old rubber bands get loose or break but now she can be displayed without worrying about her falling apart while on display.  She has no obvious cracks or breaks and no repairs.
Ginny comes to you wearing her crisp taffeta 3-piece Ice Skating outfit; skating dress, matching and correct dotted panties and matching bonnet.  Outfit has nice body to the fabric, no fading, no tears or issues.  White is still white and blue still a nice medium almost cobalt blue color.  Her outfit appears
never been laundered, never ironed
and presents beautifully.  This outfit came in red dot too; we are offering the blue dotted version Ginny dressed strung doll in this auction.  Outfit is tagged as shown, but many from the earlier years were not.    Vogue produced these dolls and outfits and offered both as a dressed doll and as a separate outfit so you can dress any of your favorite dolls.  What fun it was back in the 1950's to have so many choices for Ginny if you bought a basic doll.  But nice to get a dressed doll all set to display; most were often played with but she doesn't seem to show any play wear or long time display and was probably admired some and packed away early at some point in her life.    Ginny would not be complete if she didn't wear her excellent now slightly  off white from age, clean center snap ice skates with very good attached straps, no repairs and nice vintage rayon white socks.  She is clean, great color, wonderful doll from the early 1950's ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.  One very pretty doll that will come to you with our customary complimentary doll stand too so you can display and enjoy her right away.
A special doll for someone who loves the overall look and,  if blue is your favorite color, she may be one you would enjoy.  Darling doll that displays well and would be an asset to most collections where she can continue to be enjoyed and shared with your family and friends.
A very pretty, quality all Vogue Ginny doll ready to find a new home; we think most would be very pleased with this special doll that you don't see offered in this color and condition too often.  Would make a great gift for that special someone in your life too.  Since she doesn't have her original box, which most are long gone as boxes weren't that important years ago, she will come to you in a nice silver gift box.  Ginny will be well protected for her journey, packaged within a shipping box to help to insure her safe arrival.
