outfit from 1951 that is complete

.  Outfit, to us, has some things that need to be pointed out and we will mention regarding condition, but very nice one on a doll; not perfect.   Rather than leaving it to a buyer's imagination, we try to point out every little detail we see on things we are offering to help insure a pleasant buying experience.   If we have missed something that may be of concern that we haven't mentioned,  or you have other questions that we may be able to help with, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Details
Vogue put a lot of detail into many of the special doll outfits they offered and this Holly Belle outfit was no exception.  Such a pretty outfit of taffeta, felt and velvet, very festive.  Certainly an outfit that would bring out the best of a doll you may have that has been waiting for that special dress set to wear if you don' t have to have crispy mint and new.   Outfit has been enjoyed by a previous owner and shows some love but has no tears, may have been laundered; is complete including the CS shoes and socks.  Outfit includes the taffeta dress with felt holly decoration near hemline and velvet top, open crown matching velvet hat with white feather plume type decoration and original green ribbon tie, matching taffeta panties with bell decoration.  Her red oil cloth center snap shoes plus Vogue vintage white rayon socks help to complete the outfit.
Outfit is not tagged but guaranteed all factory.  Outfit is not mint but as you can see presents well on a doll.  Her velvet top, taffeta bottom dress is decorated with felt holly (berries and leaves) near the bottom of the hem (these are original and not replacements but do show some old factory glue residue when you zoom in with a magnifying glass but not something that is so much noticeable in person).  Her matching bonnet retains the original green ribbon tie and white soft plume decoration.  Matching white taffeta panties are decorated with a bell and tiny green ribbon; same ribbon that is on the hat.  Her center snap shoes show minor wear with good attached snaps and nice color, excellent original rayon socks with no damage; just previously on a doll.   Outfit is light cream in color, not snow white but not soiled.    The taffeta dress and panties appear as though they may have been steamed or ironed (appears to us to have been cleaned at some point;  our guess would be most likely) but still looks nice on a doll,  as you can see the picture of our Ginny modeling this outfit.  Doll is not included, outfit only.   If you are looking for near mint or mint,  this would not be the outfit for you.   The velvet bodice and hat are no longer a deep red as we believe they were when made in 1951; top may be slightly lighter than the hat.  Both still have nice overall color though.   Elastic in legs and waist of panties appears to have be tightened,  but you have to look to see this.
Although some may not like to provide details that are not all positive,  we try to cover all,  so there are no unexpected surprises that may be disappointing.  If you love the harder-t0-find and don't mind that it is not a perfect outfit but does show well,  than this may work for you.  Please check add'l notations under photos too for more details.
