Description
1949 Vogue Strung, RARE, Painted Eye Pre-Ginny with side-glancing blue eyes that make her look very shy and appealing! She has evenly-blushed soft pink cheek blush with no scuffs, and pale, peach lips. She retains her original blonde mohair wig in a soft, curly flipwith thick bangs in excellent condition with no thin spots or problems. Her eyelashes and brows are distinct and auburn in color. Appropriately marked "Vogue Doll" on her back, and "Vogue" on her neck, she is an early strung hard plastic doll, can stand on her own, hold all poses and has no body seam splits, stains, fading, odors or problems. She has an even, rich body color that matches her face exactly.
She is dressed in the 1949 Group K- Dainty Afternoon series #8-2C Judy dress and correct pink hat. The dress is a windowpane-printed pale pink organdy dress trimmed in lavish eyelet lace. It closes in back with the original two hook and eye closures with no rust. In both the Izen and Stover book and the Barbara Clark book it is shown with a pink scallop-edge horsehair hat with velvet flowers. I believe the ribbon that ties beneath her chin is a replacement ribbon. She wears the matching organdy bloomers with nice elastic. There is a tiny pin hole in the bloomers, otherwise the outfit is in mint condition. She wears off-white oilcloth shoes with pink ribbon ties, and will come with a pink metal doll stand so you may display and enjoy her right away. She has always been kept out of the light and under a glass dome, so she is immaculate.
Please feel free to ask me questions. I want only delighted customers! She is a true beauty!
