Here is another adorable 1940's strung Vogue
composition
Toddles pair (boy & girl) Ginny dolls with jointed arms, legs and neck.  You are bidding on both the brother and sister twin pair (both dolls).   If there is a pair how wonderful it is to get them together and not have to hunt for the companion.  They have been together for so long we just didn't have the heart to separate them. Both are restrung as old rubber bands got loose and we noticed this when taking their photos; so now you won't have to worry about them falling apart and you can display and enjoy them right away. A darling pair, rarely seen and their outfits are mint mint, all original from top to bottom including shoes, whites are white, blues are blue.  We see no issues with either outfit, clean perfect side snap original dark blue oil cloth shoe; factory original and his is marked Toddles (one shoe as some were); her's is not.  No tears, no repairs to outfits.  Colors are bright and outfits are crisp, amazing condition overall.  Both dolls are composition and both have some fine line crazing here and there, typical and hard to detect with the naked eye.   In person you do not see any lines but when we took the photos the camera lens zooms in on everything and shows things as if you were using a magnifying glass.  These are composition which is made with wood pulp and glue for lack of a better basic description then Vogue would dip them in paint, let them dry and then finish the hand painting of the facial features and painted hair.  There are
no touch ups
that we see at all.  All little tiny tips of fingers are intact with no breaks.  This wonderful early pair can be seen in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls by Izen/Stover.  Rarely do you see such a nice set offered.  We thought about offering them separately but just couldn't.  We think most would be very pleased and also surprised at how wonderful they are in person.   Both appear to have never been displayed and organdy white fabrics are white too and blue color is a nice vibrant blue.  Outfits have never been laundered, never ironed and never steamed and we don't think they need any attention but to be put on display and enjoyed.
You are bidding on both dolls together; brother and sister (twins).  Makes a great gift to one's self or a special loved one.  Stands will be included; color may vary due to availability and some colors are discontinued so may not be same as in our photos.
Toddles has the one slightly more bent arm (right), more so than the other; exactly the way they produced this particular era doll with one arm not quite as bent and documented in the reference books. The have the slightly slimmer composition body and seem a bit finer made, not as crude and chunky as the first ones they produced earlier.     Please look closely as the photos are part of our description in case we have missed something important to you; perhaps they will clarify any questions or concerns.  If not, please contact us and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.  If you see something in the photos we haven't detailed let us know so we can provide any add'l information needed.    Selling "as is, pictured & described, final sale".
