VINTAGE VOGUE STRUNG GINNY! GORGEOUS TOSCA HAIR! MINT! Mistress Mary! BLUE ROSES CRISP!.
This is a minty beautiful Ginny. She is a 1951/52 DOLL WITH A FULL OF CURLS TOSCA WIG AND PERFECT BROWS, lashes and cheeks. She is strung tightly and holds a pose. I believe she is Mistress Mary because one of her shoes is stamped Mistress Mary on the sole. The outfit is a little earlier than the doll. However, I prefer the hard plastic dolls over composition but some of the earlier outfits are stunning. So sometimes I combine them. This is one of them and she is difficult to part with. Her outfit is crispy like new. Her bonnet, dress and pantaloons are made from white organdy with a blue rose pattern. She wears a white organdy apron. The apron and the skirt are edged with Ginny pleated netting that is exquisite. The pantaloons, bonnet and sleeves are edged with cotton lace. The bonnet has a blue ribbon tied in a bow and the apron has a blue ribbon around the waist that ties in a bow in the back. She wears white socks and blue side snap early shoes.
