    Description

    Up for auction is a simply precious poodle cut Vogue Ginny dressed in 1953 #26 "Carol".  This Ginny has the wonderful caracul wig that is original to this doll and not a replacement.  It has the center back seam which I've tried to show in my pictures, and is securely factory glued to the head.  It is a gorgeous shade of red and just full of those darling little tight curls. Cute!! The doll has no splits, stains, or cracks in her plastic. I did carefully restring her as the rubber band stringing had hardened and she was loose. Her facial coloring is all original and features her bright cheeks, lips, and brown eyelashes and brows that have not turned yellow or green.  She has eyes in the stuck open position which is so typical.  The eyes are a bi-color blue and brown and are very pretty.  Ginny is wearing a very good condition 1953 tagged dress.  The dress is dotted cotton organdy with cap sleeves and the A-B-C border. There are no holes or stains in the dress but I would say that the border in the back has a couple of very very faint discolorations, hardly able to be seen but wanted to disclose. Under the dress are matching panties with good elastic at waist and legs. She has on very good condition shoes and socks. Shoes have strong snaps, but care must always be taken if you choose to snap and unsnap them. The bow in her hair is just gently pinned in so you can choose to remove it if you want.  The bow is an authentic vintage 1950's Ginny bow and it is in excellent condition.  All in all this is a very special Ginny to proudly display and enjoy!
