Vintage 1951 Vogue GINNY #42 "GLAD" Complete, A/O and Gorgeous!

Description

Up for auction is a wonderful early strung (non-walker) Vogue Ginny from 1951.  She is #42 GLAD from the "Tiny Miss Series" of that year. This doll came to us dressed in this lovely desirable outfit and is original to it. The doll is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or discoloration in her plastic. I did restring her as the original rubber band had hardened and she was too loose to pose. She now poses without a stand if you want. Ginny also has fantastic all original coloring with bright cheeks and lips, and nice brown eyelashes and eyebrows that have not faded and changed color.  Her eyes are two tone and her beautiful blonde wig is saran. As is correct for this outfit, the saran wig is shorter in back with longer pieces on the sides. You can find a picture and description in B. Clark's "Colorful World of Ginny" on p. 56. The wonderful outfit consists of the dress, pink bloomers, felt hat with bouquet of flowers and ribbon ties, pink center snap shoes, and blue socks. The hat has no holes in it and it is a beautiful shade of pink with nice color blue ribbon trim. The dress is untagged, as is common in 1951. The color is a nice light pink with blue ribbon trim. If you look closely, there are faint light brown discolorations here and there in the dress. They are light and don't really detract from its beauty, but wanted to disclose. Otherwise no big stains or holes. The bloomers are a nice bright pink and good original elastic. The shoes are a nice color pink with leatherette bottoms and the snaps function well. The blue socks are excellent.  All in all this is a harder to find "Glad" in this condition and will make a lovely addition to any collection!
All items are carefully wrapped with tissue and bubble wrap and most items are boxed.
