We are offering another vintage Vogue Ginny doll factory poodle wig with original cannister, glue and label that gives directions for use.  This came to us with a large group of never used but
this one has been used
as we open them to check.  However,  this tosca reddish brown original wig is still in very good/excellent condition.  Nice thick and full wig, great color, factory sewn center seam, not a reproduction.  There is one thing to note and we photographed; one small tear into the base edge (see photo) that would not have any real affect on use or how it looks once glued.  Probably done when they removed the wig.  There are no bald spots, and no globs/thick areas of glue inside the wig.  There are a few areas inside the wig that do have glue which looks like spots from the glue and use.   Nothing to us, in our opinioin,  that would cause a re-application problem.  Looks like maybe someone might have tried to put it on a doll and maybe changed their mind before the glue was even dry so it didn't clump up.  These wigs are really nice to have on hand for that special well loved doll that needs a new hair do.  Container cardboard shows some bending from taking off.  Glue silver tub is old so most likely not usable and probably dry.  Paper label still in the wig container.
This is the caracul lambs wool wig they used on their early strung 1951-53 dolls.   If you look closely at our photos here you can see the machine stitching that is inside, it is a center seam all the way down.  We don't want to do a lot of handling or folding to turn it inside out and chance damaging as this is lambs wool and the skin is soft and flexible but care should be taken when using as to not tear the leather skin itself.  So, we were unable to take a full shot but zoomed in on a small section and hopefully you can see this in our  photos where we tried to show the stitching.   Vogue issued this wig as a replacement besides it being used on their dolls that they offered.  How lucky one was back then to be able to purchase the extra caracul wigs and today you may find one now and then but not often as they are a bit rarer than others.
We do not replace wigs; don't have the talent or patience to do it properly, so we would not be a good guide relating to "how to".  There are instructions on the label but some of you know how to do it and take the care needed and use the proper glue.  We'll leave that all to the new owner and hope that a beautiful doll that needs a wig will finally have a great new look or you can get it to have on hand as they don't come up to often, especially this beautiful tosca color.   Would make  a nice display item with other accessory pieces that Vogue offered for these adorable early dolls too.
These wigs could be used on other dolls of similar head size too and even on a small antique bisque, but were made by Vogue for Ginny back in the early 1950's.
Please take a close look and see if this is something you can use or would like to even use them for display.  It is nice sometimes to have a display with some of the extras that Vogue offered for these dolls.  They thought of everything.  Including over worked, and cut Ginny doll wigs that would need a replacement.  We are selling this wig as pictured and described, final sale; rarely seen offered.
