1950s Ginny Dolls by Vogue Ginny was one of the most popular 8 inch child dolls of all time. Introduced in 1951, Ginny had the height of her popularity during the 1950s, but she is still in production today. She has always had a panoply of clothing and accessories available for her, and her iconic charm created many competitors and copy cats, including Madame Alexander's Wendy doll.
This doll is in very good condition as found, some minor scuffing on plastic body, with dark brown hair, molded eyelashes, dark blue sleep eyes, strung and jointed legs and a head that turns when walking, marked Vogue on back bottom of head, marked on back torso 'GINNY, VOGUE DOLLS, PAT NO. 2687594 MADE IN U.S.A. The dress is labelled Vogue Dolls. Clothes, as found, have some soiling but overall in good condition. Dress is on backwards? and pantaloons need new elastic Comes without stand.
