GINNY DOLL ~ 1959 ~ #1450 ICE SKATING OUTFIT ~ NICE ~ VOGUE

Description

I recently acquired an old doll trunk that had a bunch of Ginny and Betsy McCall stuff in it. I don't collect the later Ginny's so, I thought I would offer this to someone who would enjoy it. I thought it went to Betsy but, a very kind Collector corrected me and then I looked it up in my Ginny book. It is shown on page 174 in the book the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls - 2nd Edition" by Izen and Stover. You will receive the bodysuit, vest, skirt, hat and skates. The complete outfit. Please look at all my photos and use the enlarger as the photos are the main part of my description. If you have any questions, please ask them before you bid.
This red bodysuit is is a long sleeved jersey knit and snaps at the back of the neck. It is in very good condition with no holes, tears or stains. There is a "Vogue Dolls, Inc" tag sewn on the inside.
The white felt vest has a red snap on the front to close. It is also in nice condition with no holes, tears or stains. The snap is secure and NOT torn.
The white felt skirt has red braid trim around the edge. It closes at the waist with a snap and is in nice condition. One teeny weeny tiny dot on the underside. The snap works great.
This next piece is the hat. It is white faux fur with a metal grommet on each end to run the ties through. It is lined in red taffeta. This hat is in very good condition with no holes, tears or stains.
The last thing in this auction is the white ice skates. Well, they use to be white. This pair of skates are not very good but, it is my only pair. The white fuzzy part is all rubbed off but, they will do for display. The metal blade is still nice.
This is a darling outfit and everything is in nice condition (except the skates) with no real problems. I am sure your Ginny is gonna love it!!
